On an iPhone
- Open beforethegate.co.uk in Safari. If you’re inside another app, choose to open the link in Safari first.
- Tap Share (you may find it in the page menu).
- Choose Add to Home Screen. If shown, leave Open as Web App switched on.
- Tap Add. Look for the Before the Gate icon on your phone.
On an Android phone
Open the site in Chrome, open its menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. The wording depends on your browser. An install button may also appear above.
What works offline?
Preparing the core guides for offline use when your browser supports it…
After offline preparation finishes, reopen the app once while connected. Core guides and printable life-inside sheets can then be read without a connection. Maps, external organisations, email and the latest contact information need internet access.
Directory details are a dated reference, not a live feed. Reconnect to check current information. Offline availability depends on your browser keeping its saved files; clearing browser data or device storage may remove them.
Your plan stays with this browser
Saved guides, questions and checklist progress stay in the browser or installed app where you entered them. They do not automatically sync with other devices, and installing the app may use a separate storage area. Check your plan after installation before relying on it.
You can print your plan or save it as a PDF using the existing print option. On a shared phone, think carefully before saving personal information.
